There are many considerations to take into account. What is the room used for? Do you want a formal look or something more relaxed? Do you need curtains for privacy or warmth? Do you need to deaden sounds from outside? Do you want light to flood in or do you want a window treatment that reduces as much light as possible? All you need to do is make an appointment and I can help you with the design choices.
Are there any restrictions like an opening bi-fold door, a window that opens inwards. Would a blind be a better option is space is restricted? Is the window recess deep enough for the folds of a wave headed curtain? I can advise the most suitable treatment for your window.
I work within any budget and complete all projects single headedly. This means that I can control quality and deliver the best service to you, giving you peace of mind. I endeavour to offer the very best solution for each of my clients ensuring you receive the highest quality made to measure curtains at the fairest price within budget.
Patterned or plain fabrics will bring colour, warmth and texture, transforming your house into a home and reflecting your personality. When choosing fabric the decision you make depends on a variety of factors and personal taste. Fabric is purchased by the meter and your choice may be the biggest influence on your budget. It can be anything from £20 to £500 per meter so maybe combining fabric choices for trims and accessories to keep within budget would be an option to discuss at your consultation appointment.
I will always provide professional quality linings. These will improve the hang of your curtains and will also protect the face fabric from fading in the sun. Your lining choices will improve the look and feel of your curtains and blinds.
Blackout lining will help reduce light within a sun filled bedroom and help protect more delicate fabrics from sun fade.
Interlining will give a luxurious feel to your curtains and help reduce unwanted draughts and noise. It also helps to give your room extra insulation against both heat and cold and helps protect fabrics such as silk from sun damage.
Bonded interlining will stabilise a fabric being used for roman blinds and give a more uniform fold when the blind raised.
Naturally I prefer to use fabrics from my own trusted suppliers as I know that the quality will be consistent, but it is also possible for you to choose your own fabric and I will do my best to purchase through my contacts for you. Alternatively you may want to purchase fabric yourself. I am more than happy to use any fabric you provide and I can help with correct quantities and can thoroughly check it for imperfections and flaws for a minimal fee.
